Delicious with a cuppa mid afternoon – Peanut butter and chocolate squares
Recipe: Makes 12
Ingredients:
- 300 g Rich tea biscuits
- 130 g butter
- 40 g caster sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 8 tbsp peanut butter
- 200 g dark chocolate chips
Method:
- Using a food processor, whizz the rich tea biscuits until they resemble fine breadcrumbs
- Melt the butter, sugar and maple syrup in a saucepan over a low heat. Once melted add in peanut butter and stir to combine
- Mix the saucepan ingredients into the rich tea biscuits and stir until all mixed through
- Press into the lined tin until flat
- Melt the dark chocolate chips and pour over the biscuit mix
- Allow to set in the fridge and slice into bars
- Keep in an airtight container for up to 5 days
