Delicious with a cuppa mid afternoon- Peanut butter and chocolate squares

Recipe : Makes 12


300 g Rich tea biscuits

130 g butter

40 g caster sugar

2 tbsp maple syrup

8 tbsp peanut butter

200 g dark chocolate chips


  1. Using a food processor, whizz the rich tea biscuits until they resemble fine breadcrumbs

  2. Melt the butter, sugar and maple syrup in a saucepan over a low heat. Once melted add in peanut butter and stir to combine

  3. Mix the saucepan ingredients into the rich tea biscuits and stir until all mixed through

  4. Press into the lined tin until flat

  5. Melt the dark chocolate chips and pour over the biscuit mix

  6. Allow to set in the fridge and slice into bars

  7. Keep in an airtight container for up to 5 days
